Bible Studies and Resources

I’ve made available several discipleship classes we have taught at our church on our Resources tab at the church website.

All of these resources are in PDF format, ready to print as handouts for your Sunday School class, bible study, or personal use! Two of these are classes are adaptations of fantastic books and are meant to provide an outline to teach through the book for teachers. I hope these are helpful and bless you and your churches!

There are thousands of resources out there about how to read the Bible. But there is a great dearth of teachers in our local churches who can open the word and faithfully teach it to others. This resource is intensely practical, showing you how to teach, then gently–sometimes forceably–goading you to put it into practice! (17 Week Study)

Are there specific habits you can do to grow in Christ? What exactly is fasting? How do I pray? In this adaptation of Dr. Don Whitney’s classic Spiritual Disciplines of the Christian Lifeyou will learn about the practical exercises, the faith workouts, you can put into practice in your daily life to strengthen your faith. (14 Week Study)

J. Mac Stiles has written a fantastic little resource for the 9Marks Building Healthy Churches Series. In Evangelism: How the Whole Church Speaks of Jesushe calls us away from the typical program driven evangelism of many American churches to a more organic culture of evangelism. This study breaks down Stiles’s freeing approach,  as the whole church works together to share the gospel. (13 Week Study)

  1. Chad, Thank you for sharing these helpful resources. My husband and I have recently moved to the Black Mtn. area and our daughter, Sarah, and I are teaching a Bible study to the ladies in our church. Our desire is to see the word of God transform our valley as we find His word and eat His word so as to find delight and joy in His lovely words. Your resources will be put to use! Jane Schrum
